With a pure passion for playing the violin, Alexandra Early is featured in this month’s North Oaks Scope on cable channel 16. Early grew up in North Oaks and is currently honing her performance skills in the professional development program at the Cleveland Institute of Music. To the delight of family and friends, she recently returned to town to perform in The Schubert Club’s Courtroom Concert Series.The Scope program features performance highlights from the Courtroom Concert in Landmark Center and footage from her rehearsal with Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra’s guest conductor and violinist, Scott Yoo.
In an interview, this young and talented woman discusses her love of music and the challenges in pursuing a career as a professional musician. She also fondly reflects on friendships and growing up in North Oaks.For her performance, Early selected Sonate pour violon et piano, Op. 119 by French composer Francis Poulenc.
